Taking the perfect snapshot of children can be a difficult challenge for anyone. They would rather be playing, they have no investment in how the pictures turn out, and they can be easily distracted. As an Edmonton children’s photographer, I have met my share of rambunctious kids. Little Jax is no different. Especially in this session when the young man was more interested in the squirrels than the camera. Despite his adventuring, we managed to capture some wonderful candid portraits of energetic Jax.

As an Edmonton photographer, it is shoots like these that can be the most fun. Jax and his family are a pleasure to work with. Jax’s mother, Kylie, was nice enough to leave us a wonderful Facebook message where she too joked about Jax’s wild distractedness. It’s messages like these that tend to warm our hearts and make our day: “Angela is the best at catching beautiful candid moments that nobody else sees. Angela you’re a 10/10!!!”
